Setup a Printer

Ask Your Expert

To print through Wi-Fi from your computer, or to quickly share your printer with others, you can always connect your printer to Google Cloud Print.
What all you need:
  • A printer that has a Wi-Fi feature.
  • A computer with the Chrome browser installed.
Step 1: Connect to Wi-Fi
  1. Turn on your printer.
  2. Connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Turn on your computer.
  4. Connect your computer to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
Step 2: Figure out if your printer is cloud-ready
Go to the cloud-ready printers page and look for your printer manufacturer and model number.
  • If your printer has version 2.0 labelled as ”v2″ next to it, your printer is cloud-ready.
  • If your printer has version 1.0 or is not labelled as  “v2,” your printer is cloud-ready (version 1.0).
  • If your printer is not listed, your printer is not cloud-ready. But if it can connect to Wi-Fi, you can set it up with Google Cloud Print.
Step 3: Connect your printer to Google Cloud Print
